Today was our hunt show.
I entered the dressage Prelim 10, Novice working hunter and cob class.
I was first in, in the dressage (I asked to be) and it went well expect she was strong in canter and wasn't going forward enough (judge said as much). We came 3rd which is fab for our 2nd proper dressage test.
Change of bridle for the WH. I've never done a WH before. I went in first again and to my surprise we went clear. So waited for the showing part. A quick walk, trot and canter round and a trot up and I was put in 4th place! Not bad for the only cob in the class.
Then Hattie went to sleep for about an hour before the cob class. The class was spilt maxi and show cob, but I was put with the show cobs as the smallest maxi was 16.1hh (Hattie is only 15.2hh). Hattie was fab in the group work and did a beautiful show, with a fantestic gallop to win her group.
Talking to the judges afterwards they said they love Hattie as she just smiles the whole time and is so light on her feet for a big heavy cob, even in the gallop.
I am so so happy with my pony!! She won enough money to cover her entries with some change.
