Hunt to Ride or Ride to Hunt?

Just out of interest, do you hunt to ride, or ride to hunt?

Have to say that I do both! I love riding and crossing country but I equally love watching hounds work.....mad about it.

Hunt to ride means you only hunt to ride a horse and jump things! Riding to hunt means that you only ride to follow hounds and watch hounds.

Hope that explains it a bit!

I grew up with horses, and hunting was part of that. the field master at the time would often get me and my friends up at the front giving him leads and doing the gate opening for him! Hound work was explained to me and I still think of all his teachings and advice when I'm watching and listening to the hounds. I love it.

OH learnt to ride as he was sick of running after the field when we were hunting, but is now totally hooked on both the riding and the hunting.

Both really. I used to just hunt to ride then when I met my OH I learnt about hounds and now love that side of it too.
