Hunter Bridle Recommendations

As per title, have some birthday money burning a hole and would like to get a new bridle.
Needs a chunky cavesson noseband as typical cob head.
Can anyone recommend a nice one budget up to £100 ish

Anna Pennell makes the most stunning bridles, fully made to measure, however she may be a bit over budget.
 
I normally recommend Evison but had a bad experience recently. I ordered a hunt bridle with 2" noseband. Said would take 6 weeks, so paid deposit. Took 10 weeks for me to get fed up and request refund (after being told a couple of times it would be ready soon), which took another week for them to process. Not impressed at all.

So after I got my money back, I bought one from English Bridles instead. Beautiful quality, buttery soft leather - not cheap (got a little change from £100), but I got it within a week!!
 
English Bridles do a lovey flat but padded bridle that I have my eye on for when my youngster is allowed nice things.

Edited to add: I contacted them once about sizes and they said if you speak to them directly they can send out bridles in whatever size configuration you want e.g. full head piece, cob cheeks etc.
 
English Bridles make lovely bridles and they are very helpful

Riseley Saddlery sell Morris and Nolan bridlework and are also very helpful

I was abotu to post about their bridles! I saw the flat padded one at Windsor, and fell in love! Gorgeous!

Jeffries come in at around that, I have one on my shopping list, my bridle is ancient and probably not that trust worthy!
 
Word of warning re English Bridles - whilst they are stunning and buttery soft leather when you get them...I got one of their gorgeous leather headcollars at HOYS last year (didn't get much change from £40 if I remember rightly!) and it looks absolutely dreadful now despite being cleaned and treated with leather balm regularly. I was complaining about it to my farrier and he commented that it wasn't English leather as English leather should have no smell at all and this has a definite "leathery" smell. So for £100 I would be wary of their bridles especially if for everyday use.

Had a look at their website, no where do they mention that the leather is English. They may be called English Bridles but that looks as if its just because they are made here.
 
Thanks for the warning... I know the smell you're talking about - the bridle I purchased had no smell at all. Did the headcollar smell when you bought it? Or does it only smell now?
