Hunter champs

Hi Silverson's haven't heard from you in a while. Unfortunatly we can't make tomorrow BUMMER! Please please let us know how you all get on. We are going to watch the Workers and some dressage to music with a friend who is competing there.
All the very best and can't wait to here your results, lets hope a TB doesn't win the Hunter class!!!!

Will keep my fingers crossed and thankyou, Karen is taking Theo to so should be a fun day, shame you can't make it would have been lovely to meet you. Will post pics of our efforts on our return......

I'm with you Maggie, surely a good old fashioned tb should be capable of winning a lightweight class? But they all have to be 18.2 nowadays it seems.

Not knocking Silversons horses, for a bit of proper bone they are gorgeous.

My preference is a horse with good, strong, clean flat bone that can cope with any going, hunt twice/three times a week and stay sound. We breed TB's and IDxTB's but I would rather sit on the IDx for the day than a TB. The good old fashioned TB is hard to find nowadays. From what I saw last year (youngstock) most of them would have been better suited in a riding horse/hack class. This is not to start a debate just my HO.

No, no debate but just wondered! But old fashioned TB's are a rare breed these days but the proper TB should do hunting with no trouble, and to see someone win the LW with one of them wouldn't cause me any problems.

No three in one class...and some rather well known producers at that.....

We've had a fab day, all very tired as had a really early start!!! We were placed seventh as we're def not bay enough....lol but still stood over a producer and the other grey in the class lol....
