hunter clip, hogged, face on or off

i was going to give my lad a hunter clip this winter and also hog him.

the ? is would he look funny with his face on being hogged or would he need to loose this aswell???

I hunter clip and always do a half head. Not because my horses are hard to clip (one actually goes to sleep wobbling his lip when you're clipping his head!) but I just think it gives them a bit more protection when they're in the field.

I think with the hogged mane you need to take the full face off - otherwise he will look odd.

Me too but then I would not hog him .

For the first clip, I would take the lot off, then 2nd clip leave half the face if you want to. Certainly last clip take the lot off, then you wont have any lines

i wasnt going to hog him but ive been cubbing and would like to continue by going hunting but i have a problem

its the coloured in my avatar, hes got a nice mane but if i want to start hunting it needs to come off or get someone to plait before i leave

Hogging wouldn't effect his face's look, my lad is hogged, at most he only has half his face clipped..
