Hunter Noseband Width

What width noseband do you think i should get? He's currently in a 1 inch wide flat cavesson noseband but recently in a ridden hunter class I was told I needed to get a thicker one but not sure of the width i should buy? Here's a pic of my boy's head to help!

It would depend on how big your horse is, I have just made a flat cavesson 1 3/4" wide for a 17 hh ID, which suits his long face. yours if he is between 15 and 16hh, I would say somewhere between 1 1/4" to 1 1/2".

Your horse has a nice head.I would put him in a two inch noseband.

It would help if you could post a photo with him wearing his 1" noseband, that would give an idea of what would suit best.

My 14.2 coloured mare wears a 1.75" noseband so I would say that your horse would definately cope with a 2". Mine has a crank back and was made to measure by Fylde - Cob size was too small and full size was too big

My horse is 16.2HH, i have attached a copy of thim in the Bridle with the 1 inch noseband.
