Hunter trial prep!

I have my first paired hunter trial soon and was just wondering what I need to do to get ready for it. What do I need to wear and what does my horse need to wear? Any additional info would be great too! Thanks

if you're doing pairs it would useful to try a pretend run over an xc course. just so you can see how the horses react with one in front of the other and swopping if need be.

You will need a body protector, skull cap (no fixed peaks, they're not usually allowed xc), long sleeved top, number bib unless provided by the venue, and usually a medical armband. Your horse will just need the usual tack and some good boots as the fences aren't very forgiving. Good luck I hope you have fun
