Ok so i have dabbled a bit at some xc schooling and she still hates ditches with a passion and wont do them but is now jumping in and out of water. I figured id have a go with a friend at some little hunter trials im talking 2ft-2ft3 as many of these to not include ditches or just a water splash.

A jumping fat ended whip is utterly useless, she doesnt listen to it at all. When i hack and she napps i now have a schooling whip which she is much more respectuful of.

My question i have looked in some of the schedule rules and there are no whip rules in them.... can i go around with a schooling whip or if need be can i cut one down and keep the cord on the end so if i need to back up my leg and keep her thinking forward i still have that bit of respect.

Always used a jumping whip whrn xc'ing before but fatty doesnt seem to feel it and has no respect of it at all!

Just re read the schedule and it does say max of 30 inchs long. Im seriously thinking about cutting down a schooling whip and leaving the cord on so thats its the max length as there is nothing in any of the schudles that state this isnt allowed. I will also try and get a thinner whip as my jump one has a big fat end and makes more noise that anything.
