I've only ever done one HT, and am planning on doing another at the end of April. I was going to do the 2'9 individual and the 2'9 pairs - but the girl I am doing the pair with said I'm mad and should only do one or the other as there will be about 40 fences in each course

Now, the one I did before was 2'3 - 2'6. but had about 17 or 18 fences, so I did the individual and pairs that day, my horse is a fairly fit (and hyper!) arab, and went much better the second time around.
Is it normal to do 2 classes or am I being over ambitious? Its at Snowball Farm if anyone happens to know approximately how many jumps there are there??

Thats what I thought! Maybe she is thinking of a sponsored ride?
Hmm, maybe I shuold just ring the venue and ask. Wouldn't expect him to do 40 fences, twice! He's fit, but that is just silly.

So is 2 classes in a day more than most people would want to do?

(can you tell I'm used to SJ and Dress?!

Can you call them and ask how many fences? Cant believe there'd be 40, thats crazy.

I have done 2 HT classes before (like you - individual and pairs) with no problems. As long as the horse is fit, your ok.
