Hunter wellies,what colour do you have?

For those people who have in the past few years bought Hunters and been dissapointed with the quality, the reason is they are now made in China not in the Dumfries factory which was the home of the Hunter wellie (and many others, Uniroyal, Argyle etc) up to I think four years ago.
We were lucky enough to be able to visit the factory shop which was right on the doorstep (and even get my brother who was an accountant there to buy with his staff discount!) and could get them for a tenner for kids and fifteen quid for adults ones. I got green Huntress wellies which had a wider calf for the "chunkier" ladies and they lasted for years.
I still have a new pair of kids size 4 in pale blue which I seem to be keeping for sentimental reasons!!

My navy ones have split after 6 months wear so have just bought some 14.99 economy ones - not pretty but have dry feet and are very comfy. Will never buy Hunters again, they have become a fashion accessory not a working welly as they used to be. Rip Off!!

So true! But believe the drop in quality is when they moved production to China.

Red. Though, they are now 7 years old (and still going strong) and have faded to a kinda pale, anaemic suggestion of red. Must replace soon - fancying high gloss red or two tone this time.

I had some of the original ones green in colour lasted years and years too.. then bought navy ones they sadly only lasted a year
Not keen on them being used in the highstreet I mean seriously :S

I wouldn't buy another pair as I don't think they are made too well anymore I inspect them as much as I can lol, I would prefer to pay a bit more to get the le Chemau ones or buy a cheap nasty pair as they tend to last quite well may not look as pretty but does the job.

Green - its the only colour the place where my dad's farm account is does Seem to be so far so good, apart from the hole in the top... thats my bad, stuck a pitch fork in my foot.. ouchy!

Before that I had navy..lasted about 2-3 years, I was pretty pleased with them, I am a bit of a spend thift, when the navy ones started to leak though I worn a plastic bag over my foot, it was handy as kept my feet snug in the cold weather hehe!!
