Hunter wellies

I wouldn't buy another pair so got myself some Tyne Muckboots. Got them from Conglesbury (or very similar) from Ebay if thats any help.

I really wouldnt bother they are no what they used to be. I emailed them last week basically saying how dissapointed I am in a product i have trusted for many years and what a dissapointmnt they didnt make 18 months. Anyway the email I got back was:

Thank you for your email. Despite receiving very few complaints, it is only through this type of feedback that we can improve both our products and customer service. All of our boots are hand-made and our craftsmen, in all of our factories, have a proud tradition of over 150 years’ of boot making to uphold, and take great pride in their work. Unfortunately it is no longer economically viable to make our entire range of boots in Scotland, so we have sought out a number of overseas factories to produce for us to our exacting standards, both in terms of quality and of conditions. Our Royal Warrants recognise not only the quality of the products but also of our high standard of customer service. We understand what a disappointment it is when a brand that you trust does not meet your expectations however we still feel that our products are superior to those of our foreign competitors in terms of fit, comfort and style.

I bought my OH some a few weeks ago, and they are almost unrecognisable from the previous pair when it comes to quality. I go to China sometimes, where you can buy cheap copies of things, and I would swear that these were cheap copies of the real ones, but they're not! They're ok though.

Great! (sarcastic :p) Such a shame, I bought my last pair three years ago and I must have got the last of the good ones because they are superb. However, I've been hearing so much bad stuff about them on here that I won't be buying a new pair seeing as my £15 Mole Valley Farmers ones have been going strong for five years :D
