Hunter Wellies

Another that wouldn't bother with hunters again. The last pair I had didn't make it to 6 months!
I wear Le Chameou All track cost me £54 3 years ago & they still look new despite bring worn & abused nearly every day. Wouldn't wear anything else now

I have Muck Boot tynes (fab for serious yard work) my boys have Hunters (fab for when they come and play at the yard and to wear to school in the rain) and my Dubarry 'w@nker wellies' ..... which are just FAB

I ordered some Barbour wellies for the boys and sent them back, ugliest, crappiest overpriced tat I'd seen in a long time

xx

I too am getting more and more annoyed at the lack of quality of Hunters. My problem with cheaper wellies is that they don't have a raised instep so my feet start hurting pretty quickly. I'm currently wearing Ariat Mudbusters but find them incredibly clumpy compared to the Hunters.

I have huntress wellies from a few years ago purchased in Cumbrian farm shop still going well got muck boots for winter lasted 2 winters and were very snug have now split and cracked up for alternative suggestions

Re Hunter Wellies - my last pair squeeked and leaked after a short period
was able to fix leak with a hot poker but you could hear me coming a mile away with the squeeking ....

Wouldn't go there again!

I've got some hunter balmorals and they are really uncomfortable, they press on the front of my leg. Won't buy another pair

I buy muck co esk boots now. Had one pair last nearly 5 years and my current pair I've had for two years already. Lovely warm comfortable boots and only cost me £68 on eBay.

Could go on for ages about how crap Hunters are now, ridiculous considering the price they are! Bought Ariat Mudbusters about a month ago for less than £60 and hoping they last me more than 4 months! Good so far but i'm not holding my breath going on a few of the previous posts :(

My ariat mudbusters lasted 6 weeks before both split really badly, I know I was working as a groom but still... ended up wearing my very, very ancient hunters for the rest of the hunting season. newer hunters lasted about 6 months working as a hunt groom. Had loads of cheap ones none of which have lasted more than a couple of months. May have to invest in the muck boots I guess. I was very disappointed in the ariats though for the price.
