Hunting Breastplates

Just got one for my 13.3 chunky monkey. company said generously sized so got her a pony size one, (usually she is cob size).
can anyone give me a photo of one fitting well and also how do you fit them correctly etc ? her's seems to have a lot of 'give' in it. will upload a photo when i'm next at the yard and pop it on her.

If it's a hunting one, you should be able to fit a hands width between the horse and the straps.

I love these breastplates, you have that handy leather bar to grab onto during exhuberant moments!!

This isn't my horse, it models the one i ordered. The straps across the shoulders are elastic and the rest is leather.

what about tightness of straps that go on the D rings and positioning of the wither strap? does it sit on or just in front of wither?

Mine sits just in front of the withers. Also agree with all above a hands width between the horse and breastplate! Make sure it's not too loose between the front legs as this is often a problem.

I'll have to upload a photo. I've put a few more holes in it! To try and tighten the martingale strap. Not snug around shoulders either..hmm. I.e. i can get more than a hand between the straps!

Ideally it needs to be snug to work correctly! I found this (below) to work really well compared to my other pictured like yours
