My Dad has a fabulous 1yr old English Springer Spaniel that he is training for field trialling/shooting. She is his first working dog and he is having great fun doing her basic training. I'd love to get him a book on the subject for Christmas and would like some recommendations. I know there are thousands on the subject but would like one that is more experiences than a "how-to". Either that or a very good Game Cookbook as he is also a fab cook. She's a beautiful dog with fab breeding! I've told dad I want one of her pups as a 30th birthday present...so that gives me 5 years to get settled down and have the space to train a gundog for myself!! Until then any help with Christ,as presents for him greatfully received!
