Okay, I'm not really up to date with hunting legislation, it all confuses me to be honest. But basically, what is the law if your dogs are off-lead and kill a rabbit? Does this count as hunting with dogs?

I think rabbits are still fair game...

You can't kill hares, but keep killing the bunnies to your hearts content... because thats not cruel.

Also, I think if you 2 or less dogs, you're ok...?

I could be wrong!

The the law says:

Hunting rats and rabbits
These can be hunted on your own land, or (with the permission of the occupier or owner) on other land.

Yep you can kill rabbits and rats legally with the permission of the land owner or on your own land....but not with a 'pack'. It's really a fantastic law, my dogs are so intellegent they were dead easy to train so they knew the difference between a rat and a mouse and a hare and a rabbit  ;)
