After six days of lurgy she is almost back to normal and her first task was to get on Rene who had been ridden just twice before she got ill. It shows what a good boy he is that he allowed her on and behaved really well.
Next was Jacques, who has never had six days off before, quite honestly we didn't dare.. he too behaved.
Last was Layla who is normally the quietest of the lot. She had a bucking fit and was highly excited at being in the arena with the other schooling horses, but C didn't fall off thank goodness.
Isn't that typical, the quiet one who we didn't expect any bother from was the cheekiest!
I am glad she is almost back to normal, and her Dad and I can stop mucking out and lugging haynets about. I forget how haylage leaves you smelling ever so slightly of sick after a while..yuk..

Thanks too to the kind girl who owns one of the foals , she was a star and mucked out etc whenever she was around.

Great to hear Caz is almost feeling top of the shop again.

I love the smell of haylage. Ours is soooo dry it smells of lovely sweet fresh hay. Now silage....I really hate the smell of that!

Glad shes back up and about and *most* of the neddies behaved!

When i was at uni our yard fed haylage - fab for my mare, she looked brilliant
My housemates on the other hand were convinced i was bulimic as the jackets etc always smelt sickie ... took me ages to convince them it was the haylage
