How dare you all jump to the conclusion it was the BIKES fault - typical the pts brigade are out.. it makes me so mad.... have the vet checked him/her over, get his/her back, teeth, and saddle checked book it in for some re-hab with Rossi (wonderful motorbike rider for anyone that does not know), and fgs take the rubber of the tyres.... shoving rubber on perfectly good wheels really annoys me- or at the very least turn the bike away till the spring.... is it a mare or gelding, pray its not a stallion.... have you thought about oss stress - did the fireworks set the bike off.

And anyway - why was he not on a lead rein ? ,

Has he had LESSONS on the bike? Has it's saddle been checked? What are you feeding it?

If you purchased from a dealer they may take it back or swap for a safer one.

Before you all scream PTS he should try the 7 games, it's obvious that he isn't the bikes friend.

Get him fitted for a body protector, & some polite reflectives. Look up your local bike club & take him to rallies.
As for the bike, scope for ulcers & get some random unqualified person to check its frame & do a massage. Then pts. Any order will do.
Your own fault op, I bet the bike has a standard, cheap set of handle bars? You need neue schule ones, & lots of sheepskin. Make sure in future oh wears ariats & pikeur breeches. If his kit is expensive, you can be sure any fault lies with the bike.

The bike might have unbalanced wheels - Have you tried taking it's tyres off? Bikes are so much better behaved if they go naturally barewheeled.

reminds me of the time when friends OH decided to ride his sons bike after a few ciders, put both feet on pedals but forgot to actually pedal and just slowly fell sideways and splatted
