Yep...it's definatly the case...of seeing some random person walking one in the neighbourhood and then some other nobbo....going and buying one
Ours are fab...lovely little pups...will have to try and get soeme updated piccies of our rescues......of course it's alot harder to get a one from our rescue....we are very aware of the types that come forward for them after seeing a lovely pretty picture
...we never put them on our website or do piccies in my mams vets like our other rescues
Oh id love to see puppy pictures if you have time!!!
We're thinking of getting another now. I lost my rottie a little over a year ago and to be honest, i just havent felt like getting a puppy as it completly devastated me. Its time to get more company for the husky though i think
Im so proud of her atm, i recently acquired a stray cat (called squish after it got itself run over and cost us over 2,000 pounds in vets fees). The husky has been an absolute angel with her!
hi all shilo seems to be settling more and more each day,
although i still have to b v firm with her especially around my little dog. she gets jealous and snaps at her .
suzy sparkle has sent me some links to get her a harness for pulling me on a bike !!!!!!!! so hopefully she can have a good run at least .feel mean not letting her off the lead but realize its a def no no !!
please people though take note of all thats been said they are v hard work, ive had dogs for over 20yrs but by god shes hardwork but v loving if a bit cheeky. shes 8mths andim at least her 3rd home not including her breeder .
Well she'd been sleeping in my stables for quite some time before she started inviting herself into the house.
She'd moved in for about a week before she showed up on our driveway covered in blood and quite clearly had been hit by a car. X rays showed a completly shattered back leg at the equivalent of the knee and the local surgery wouldnt even attempt to fix it... We carted her off to the small animal hospital in a nearby large city who set the leg. 6 weeks later she was allowed out from her cage... first day out i see blood pouring out of her leg where a pin is poking out. Back into surgery to alter the pins and spay her at the same time.
Shes now got 6 pins in her leg that will be there for life, cost us just over 2000 pounds and technically, shes not even our damn cat
glad to hear you're holding onto her! I'm often told Mals are similiar to huskies in terms of training (or difficulty!) and exercise needs. We went from a dog free home for a decade to falling in love with mals and followed our instincts, bought one and yes she was a handful for the first 6 months but she is our pride and joy. Yes we aren't the most experienced owners (only had red setters and JR's in the past and we got slated by all the puppy training classes we went to) but we now have a lovely friendly dog that walks at heel, comes back to call 9 times out of 10 (good for a mal!) has learnt simple commands such as sit, lie down, stay, has grown out of her baby habits such as chewing tables and is an allround pleasure to have! She will never win an obedience class (will talk back to you if she thinks you're taking her for a mug) but she is the love of our lives and we are so glad we persisted - trust me it only gets better!
