HW Turnout Rugs - PREMIER EQUINE

I need a 300g TO rug with detachable hood.

Do I go for Premier Equine?

They are not cheap is about £95, though the one I already have is lovely and well made and fits etc etc.

Or do I try and hunt around online for a cheaper one/different brand?

I do like the Amigos but often the hoods are extra and I need something with a tougher outer as the 600D never stands up to much. Naughty horse!

I am in a dilemma (hey whats new!?)!

Hi, I have a PE heavy weight T/O and fid it great.I would have one again as fits horse really well, some are not deep enough and some are tight around shoulders, so would stick with the devil you know!!

Premier Equine rugs, never had an issue. love them.

I like the PE although they seem to come up a bit small/tight around the shoulders.

The HW one I have lost it's zip last year - horse rolled a bit violently and tore the zip off the lining.....

I'm loving weatherbeeta rugs at the moment - not cheap but some good deals on ebay just now

try looking at protuff rugs... they have heavy weights on really cheap the minute (google them, or they used to sell on ebay)

Buy cheap, buy twice is my motto. I have several PE rugs and never had a problem with any of them.

Have a look at Rainbow equine ones - www.rainbowequine.com - cheap and good quality - I have the mediumweight and really love it.

P.E. have had a price hike in the past 2 years. but I still don't think they are pricey for the quality. I have the heavyweight 450g and it is superb. Fits really well and really deep. Best rug I have.

I ordered a PE rug once, and really didn't like it

I sent it back.

I completely agree with Charlyn re the "Buy cheap, buy twice", and buy only rambos and rhinos for mine now

I bought a PE Heavyweight turn out.

It was so physically heavy to handle that I sold it on. Never even used it

I have a few PE rugs. 1 stable, two turnout. I would agree that the medium weight TO is heavier than I'd like. But I do also think they are good rugs. Especially for the bigger horse that needs a deeper fit.

PE all the way for me - i have just acquired the Trio from Ebay for my new horse and its fab well up to size and very versatile and snuggly !! Have all the other weights in 6 ' for my other ponio and i they are still going strong after 3 years !!
Loved the Horseware rugs but the PE and Horseware are all made in t he same factory nowadays anyway at a huge difference in price............
