My lad has just been diagnosed with very early DJD in his coffin joints - nothing showed up in x-rays, but nerve blocking them showed a marked improvement.

He's now had Hyaluronate injected into his coffin joints, nearly 3 weeks ago, there is some improvement when ridden (gently!) but he's still not right.

Has anybody had experience of using this, good or bad?

My daughters TB had the same - unfortunately like yours he did not come completely right. He was 8 at the time.
After much investigation it became evident that the changes in the joint were not the main problem. MRI showed collateral ligament damage which was not fixable. He is now retired although he was a light hack for a couple of years.

I would be looking at further investigation. Changes on xray do not always tell the whole story and can be scondary to the main problem. Sorry it is not a very positive reply.
