Hi there,
I have a cob who i show regularly but unfortunately this season has took It's toll on him. The equine therapist person i use recommended i take him to a hydrotherapy center. Ive done alot of research on this lately and feel that an aqua tredmill would benefit him the most but im struggling to find a center in the north west which has one. Any recomendations??

I suppose it depends what you mean by the season having taken its toll on him ? If he's tired and sore then a spa could be suitable, along with the appropriate R&R. aqua treadmills are useful but hard work on the horse - more useful for fitness work I would say than as a therapy. SS Sport horses in Irlam have a treadmill and Higher Spen nr Burnley have a pool and spa. We have a hydro spa too. But I would be inclined to get your vets advise before a therapist, even if said therapist is fully qualified / registered. Certainly mine would not recommend a treatment for my horse if he were 'broken' in some way without consultation with the vet.
