Hygroma on dogs elbow

Korben seems to have developed a small Hygroma lump on his left elbow. Its not very big and it feels like it has some fluid in it - he does not seem to be bothered by it but I'm aware that it could get worse - as an Alaskan Malamute he prefers cold hard floors to carpeted and he wont sleep on a bed so I cant get him to not sleep on the hard floor which effectively causes this in the first place.

Anyone any experience of this - can I bandage it to prevent it from getting worse? Or is it a vet job do you think?
