well today we had a fabulous ride out, we crossed the A414 (I think) opposite the main gates in to hylands park and we went for a wander, they are setting up for the polo this weekend (is anyone going saturday afternoon? we could maybe meet up?), we were ambling along when a crew cab came alongside us and a very nice lady asked if she could stop as she did not want to spook the horses, she stopped came over patted my horse and said
'I am really sorry I have been voted to come and tell you you cannot ride on Hylands park, but finish your lovely ride as it is a nice place to come but for future reference you cannot ride here'
we looked on the web site and it says you can ride with a permit (not sure if it is an old page/site) so I phoned and asked and they don't know if horses are allowed or not so I am waiting for phone call back.
it is a beautiful place to ride and we just ambled will be a shame if she is right but I fear she maybe.
on a plus my little mare was so well behaved she has only been hacking out regularly for 3.5 months and was only backed this yr, and obviously traffic on the road was big/heavy and fast, the other horse had a bit of a wobbly in hylands but mine just ignored the other
