Hypermobility?

I'm a bit worried about this guy. I think he might be hypermobile. He's a stallion. Should I breed from him? Do you think he will have any long term issues with his soundness? Or is this just an awkward moment in time. He's unridden at the moment.

Should I work on his thoracic sling or give him some more turmeric?

I think that is a Welshie? In which case, you may find that you will only get the best performance if you don a tweed waistcoat, baker boy cap and trainers. Once you get him to the Sunday of the Royal Welsh Show you will have no more worries about his movement. As long as you can run like b**gery and cope with the 'exuberance' of the crowd....

ETA - absolutely no offence meant; very affectionate towards the RWS Stallion day and the lovely horses and handlers.

You do, of course, need to check for ulcers and kissing spines before testing for PSSM, but he's a good colour with a strong movement and he looks quiet in temperament, so breed from him, why not?

Have you had him long?
