This is so different than those pleading money for such has vet bills! This serves a very wide community. Don't normally donate to crowd funding but I will to help here. Thank you for sharing

I understand the purpose the yard serves, but I live nearby and it isn't a nice place at all; cramped, tiny stables and in an unsuitable location on the side of a road. Really the place is a mess and very run down. It would be a shame to lose the facility but it would be better in a different location, and there are other, better RDA centres not too far away.

Plus I don't rate the staff and have had to complain about them on several occasions - not wearing hi-viz, general incompetence when riding on the roads, not being polite to traffic etc. The manager is always on the scrounge and I just think that horse welfare is a second priority. I know that the RDA is a charity but they seem to take it to the next level; I think they need to stop fighting for something that isn't working and rethink their strategy.

P ark Lane Stables have been on BBC Breakfast this morning, they have managed to raise £half a million but they only have until the end of February to raise the rest. The horses that I saw looked to be in excellent condition and there is nothing wrong with the size/layout of the stables that I could see. The riders and their families certainly appreciate their efforts. I hope they manage to meet their target, the RDA group that I am involved with works mainly with children and adults with Learning Disabilities and I know how much they benefit from the interaction with the horses and ponies, as well as with the volunteers.

Stables are needed in innner city areas. It is so good that these kids get a chance to ride. I lived near Mudchute on the Isle of dogs a few years ago and it was lovely to walk past and see the kids in the school enjoying themselves.
Plus it gave people who worked at Canary Wharf a chance to ride.
