I've ridden my horses in a snowstorm
but they are really tough naturally. And I don't like riding in horrible weather, where's the fun in that? I just muck out and get the heck back inside :L

Look, its really very simple, if god had wanted us to ride in the rain he would have made us waterproof and windproof, the same that if he had meant us to walk, he wouldn't have invented BMWs..

I am a fairweather rider at the moment as current horse is a complete wimp and spooks all the time in the wind and hates the rain!
When i have a horse that is ok to ride in all weathers - i go out in all weathers! as long as i have a coat on and the horse has an exercise sheet on you can have a great time and no need to worry about meeting walkers and cyclists in the woods!!
