Ok, so I broked my finger (Wedding Ring finger) last week... mother forced me to get in x-rayed "it will mend all skwonky and then no one will want to marry you..."
Its all strapped etc, and I went for my check up on Friday... It needs to be strapped for another 6 weeks grrrrrr... or "due to the nature of the break I will need an operation if it does not mend properly..." Doctors and their scare tactics....
I can ride with it, but I need to re-strap it after everytime... its fine to jump, gallop etc...
I am going cubbing on Tuesday, and I would like to wear gloves... but as I have strapped fingers I am trying to figure out a plan of action, do you think strapping my fingers once my glove is on would work?????

Thank you for reading,
home made chocolate cheesecake for getting this far!!!

I can't see a problem with wearing the glove and tapping it afterwards. Although you will have to be careful that the seams on the glove fingers don't rub and give you blisters as well as having a broken finger!

Was going to say the same as BNP! As long as your gloves are thin enough you should be ok, I've done it before. You can put the little bits of Compeed between fingers to try and stop blisters

Good luck and hope it heals soon!

Please be very careful! I have a v. strange shaped finger due to breaking it and not doing as the Dr said!

As for being a bad patient - think of me! Have not been able to ride or even do much work at all for past 3 months due to a horrible skin cancer on my knuckle of mid finger right hand. Have had to have it excised and a skin graft and Consultant was horrified about me going anywhere near horses!!
