Exciting news. So far the spree has extended thus far.....
A brand new burgundy, velvety show rug for the bargain price of £5! Yes, £5!
A gorgeously soft brown leather bridle, taken to try before I buy, but it will be £10!
Two dressage saddles taken to try... One Martin wilkinson black dressage which will be £220 and one brown Martin Wilkinson dressage saddle for £140! Please let the brown one fit.
Added to that the lady has aked me to round up all of my unwanted items and then I can take them off the price of a saddle if I decide to have one. She is a fitter so I will try and then get her to come and assess fit if I think it is anywhere near!
Woooo hoooo, God bless equine car boots and second hand saddlery!
I'm in this mood at the moment - don't let anybody tell you that spending absurd amounts of money on things you really don't need is a bad thing.
If you only have four saddlecloths, you almost certainly need about ten more. Do you go out competing? If so, you could get a nice cotton sheet to travel in, and then matching travel boots are required. A new bridle is a good idea - and if you are getting a new saddle then you will need new saddle accessories. I'm saving for the Equipe Emporio at the moment, and on my list of must-have accessories for it are this patent leather girth and these Equipe gold stirrups which I have been coveting since seeing them in a picture on this forum.
AND you can never have too many browbands, and Bucas do a zebra print fly rug, and and and I don't understand how you have to think about what you want to buy! I have a whole list of things just waiting for me to have the money to make them mine.
Or you could be sensible and use your money on lessons and clinics. A.k.a. the boring choice.
Bums. Neither saddle fitted I ride in a K&M GP, can I safely assume that the dressage version would be a decent place to start as it is made with the same wide twist?
