So a bit belated,but thought I would share a couple of pics of Alfie's halloween fun.Well ok my halloween fun I guess as am sure it amused me more than Alfie lol.

My partner takes my son and couple of his friends out trick or treating every year,and as Alfie likes to be involved with everything that anyone does (typical setter hates to be left out of anything that might be even a tiny bit exciting lol),we thought he might like to go as well.

Obviously he couldn't go without a costume,so I made him a 'superdog' cape,and he had a glowstick on his collar (although that was more so so OH could see where he was in the dark rather than part of the costume lol),OH calls him superdog in an affectionate/taking the mick kind of way in reference to his chasing around showing off mode with 'ears a flapping':rolleyes::p

Anyway took a couple of pics of the 'ginger ninja' before he left,so thought would share.

*disclaimer* I am expecting to be eaten alive in true HHO fashion for these and fully accept that I am a very sad,lame person who quite clearly needs to get out more:o :p If it's any consolation Alfie had a great time out showing off,he even went for a run in the field on the way home,OH said all he could see was a floating glow stick moving at speed:D

Handsome boy, I love setters. A glow stick is a damned good idea (especially for naughty puppies who like to p!ss off in pitch black woods :()
 
I'm sorry but he looks totally embarressed, how could you? (even if it was dark!!)

Might steal the glow stick idea though;)

I ADORE Alfie:D:D:D

You won't get lynched in here for dressing him up:D:D:D there is a disturbing tendancy for some of our dogs to wear hats, scarves, sunglasses.......to mention but a few:D:D:D our old setter regularly got dressed up - she loved it:D:D:D

And as Alfie is a Setter of course he had to join in the fun - heavens forbid he missed out on anything:eek::D:D:D
 
You are not alone, did you not see Vislaks post of her ginger ninja wearing a pair of very fetching red horns.:rolleyes: Also the original Kao had a post, all harmless fun, your dog is lovely and looks very proud wearing his super dog costume.:)
 
Thanks for going easy on me folks,and for the nice comments on the silly ginger one:)

He didn't seem to mind being made to look daft and had a great time trick or treating,even if he wasn't allowed any of the treats lol,and yes definitely can't be left out of anything,whatever is happening you can bet Alfie will be poking his nose in somewhere:rolleyes:

I am glad to see I am not the only one dressing their pets,and the santa suit sounds cute:D
 
Meant to mention about the glowstick thing,OH said it worked really well and could see him easily no matter where they were or how dark.

I got them from the pound shop and might actually pick up a couple more packets just in case ever need them again.

Other type would have been best I think though,the ones that they make the necklaces and stuff out of that bend around?? Could just put them around the neck so don't have anything dangling that might be tempting to chew.
Anyway would certainly recommend glow sticks,worked a lot better than most of the stuff sold especially for purpose TBH.
 
You get the ones that bend round the neck on ebay (100 for £4.95).
I didn't get any pictures but I had bought my friends little pointer cross an white sparkly elvis outfit, unfortunately and accident last Sunday meant that he wasn't going anywhere never mind dressed up (but will be keeping it for next year!!!:))
 
Lovely boy :D He looks fab! Wont get any flack from me for dressing your dog up! Mine regularly get odd costumes! Flora was a teenage mutant ginger ninja turtle one christmas party, shell and all! :p :D
MM I'm pleased to see you are cracking, Pickle would love a santa suit for sure ;)
