OK so ned is away for intensive physio, ultrasound treatment and building up his exercise (horsewalker) at the physio's yard to fix a ligament strain.
I rang the vet to discuss what to do when he comes back in a few weeks. I had thought rescan to assess his progress, then consider stepping up his programme. She said we may have to start his fitness plan again when he comes home (i.e. in hand walking, lunging, obstacle work etc etc (although he is getting built up to (i think about 2 hours of exercise per day).
Although the physio has said once he gets back it will be lunging / long reining with saddle, then all being well starting ridden work. I dont want to rush his recovery, and i am not bothered about riding him, but what is the point of going away to get treated??
Ive got to ring the vet closer to the time obviously, but i am in bits thinking he was on his way to recovery.
