I am consumed with guilt and worry

Weirdly leg hasn't swelled up this time which is strange? I am just constantly questioning if I'm doing the right thing or if I am being cruel by keeping going and it would be better to pts?! Vet says no and to give it time but just so hard when you see her in pain like this. Will definitely be avoiding horse walker from now on!!

I'm so sorry you're going through this, my retired boy has something similar going on with his DDFT in the hoof and I can't really seem to resolve it for him. Three's been a couple of times this year I have wanted to make "the call" but then he's rallied round, right now today he's ok, but it's intermittent. I know well the feelings of doubt and worry you are experiencing, be kind to yourself, you are doing the best you can with a complex injury/condition and I hope you and your mare are on the road to recovery really soon x

Wanted to update as so many kind words! Madam is now out in the field and doing well, she is meant to be out all day every day but of course has other ideas and will only stay out for about an hour, hoping she will be better in new year when out with others! Currently sound on 1/2 a danillon twice a day! Turns out she has adhesions and goes lame when one tears but on scanning vet was very happy with the tendon just have to wait for adhesions to tear off and be absorbed.

Sounds like she is going the right way Good luck for a full recovery Hazel took the kids to a nervous and novice show the other day came back with 3x1st 2x 2nd and reserve champ she was double the age of everything else and is still sound on turmeraid, So it can come good. Also won the Showing veterans class with OH their combined age is 92
