This will be a rant and a half because at the moment i could happily murder the chavy scumbags who live at the bottom of our paddock  For all those about to shout at me for using the word chavy and turn this round to make me out to be a horrible child ..

They have parties to stupid o'clock in the morning with idiotic , not going anyway, tracksuit + weed smoking teenagers throwing bottles into our neighbours paddock who also has a horse ( they cannot throw as far as to ours).

Well Mr chav's oldest son Chavington recently purchased a dog ! a beloved pet ? NO. a staffie kept outside 24/7 on a chain tied to the washing line :mad: Now it calls for hours on end and its best described as AWOWOWOWOW type of call think like a sheep baa'ing but lower. It has no shelter and is out in all weather like the heavy rain we have right now.

Well a few months back Mr chav's youngest son Mini Chav decided to pull 3 planks out of his fence so he could tresspass into our field and see the horses... which was him swatting his hands around Dollys face and winding Tess up. Nipped that in the bud as he goes to the same school as a friends son who basically told him do it again and the police would be involved. All resolved.

Untill tonight when Chavington's dog 'Rocko' kitted out in the stupid harness made to look aggresive found these holes int he fence and broke out ! whilst Chavington and his chavy friends stood watching this dog escape :mad: It ran up our neighbours paddock her horse was in at this point and towards our stock fencing... Dolly thought 'wow a friend' and went over so 'Rocko' dived towards her snapping, growling being aggresive i didnt really think at this point and grabbed my lunge whip and rammed it right inbetween 'Rock's eyes and shouted at him as i would a horse trying it on, the dog backed down before running round trying to find a way into the paddock. Chavington at this point was shouting meek 'rocko here , rocko' .... the dog ignored him.

So i walked beside the fence shouted at 'rocko' to come here and led him back and said polietly to the guy you need to fix this, its not safe for your dog or my horses. ...

He called me a 'prick' and walked off laughing with his chavy gang, mum then spoke to chavington again who said ' he is tied up now its fine' .... what ?! NO you idiot i could of quite happily gone round and beaten the idiot to a pulp with my whip.

Dad's not here, we couldn't find wood to patch it up, but luckily our fab neighbour ex -army grrrr type bloke went and patched fence up with panels and kick boards so 'Rocko' can remain in his shitehole of a backgarden.

Stupid post really but i was so pent up and angry this has calmed me down :o

Call the rspca if you can bear to. Or get your neighbour to. Dog shouldn't be out tied up in all weathers poor mite. Bet it could be lovely if treated right...

And well done for keeping your cool. People are such ass wipes sometimes :(

That's awful-poor dog and could easily have ended up dead if it had managed to attack Dolly. Doubt Tessy would have stood up for that. Imagine if you hadn't of been there? I really feel for you living near such idiots!

Poor staffy - they don't have any coat to be left in the rain, no wonder he is howling. I'd phone the RSPCA.
I can't offer any advice re. awful neighbours. They sound hopeless.

Just wow.
Some people are idiots!!! What a horrid situation!!
I know :( The scary thing is i have worked in staffie only kennels and have seen what they can do when their jaws lock on , not nice :( This dog was fine once i settled him let me stroke him and guide him back

We were thinking that the family are horrible, they are travellers or ex travellers ? I know not all are bad but these really are the scum of the earth so we were worried in case any harm came to the horses :( The dog was fine once settled very calm and let me lead him back but as soon as he got into their backgarden tail down shaking :( :( :(

Tess wouldn't stand for it, she has been attacked on a hack before and booted the dog in the face, im afraid damage would be bad to the horses but the dog would be dead :(

Call the rspca. Dogs are something they are good at!

We were going to but worried in case it comes back to us and the horses are harmed... the people wouldn't think twice :(

I feel sorry for him, who on earth buys a frigging dog and leaves him out all the time ?! They are scumbags comeplete idiots

I di think that tb

Would they definitely know it was you? Could anyone else nearby have possibly heard him howling or would it have had to be you?

Give it a few days then put in an anonymous phone call saying you've seen a staffy tied in a garden with no food or water, explain that last week it was seen worrying some local animals and behaving aggressively.
As staffys (as much as i love them) have the potential to be a dangerous animal in the wrong hands, the rspca are usually quick to investigate such circumstances. But always let them know you wish to remain anonymous and the risk that may befall you if they found out.

Thank goodness you were there, what an awful situation to be in.

That is what made me so angry... so much could have gone wrong, Dolly trusts dogs she doesn't need one blip to make her scared for life and luckily this didn't end that way.

Mum wasn't happy at me for putting myself between unknown dog and horses but they were my priority , adrenaline took over !

I should hink they would have a good idea, may have to leave it for a month or so :( and put a noise complaint in with it to make it sound like a closer neighbour to them ?

Thank you :) Yes i did say they will be out quick as if no shelter, no access to water and a staff. Looks like he would be a sweet boy and did walk beside of me when i asked him to wagging tail etc, let me stroke him just looked frightened of the idiots who live in that house.

Please get help for the poor staffie they are such lovely dogs and always get the bad end of the stick.

At the moment i am going to leave it until it has settled down and then ring them up, as i do not want any harm coming to my horses. I wasn't implying staffies are evil breed i have worked with them and they are misunderstood, its idiots like him who cause any dog regardless of breed to be horrible.

That sounds very sensible. Let the dust settle nd then give them a ring. As amymay said, you can inform the dog warden at the council too

Otherwise they would work out it's us straight away , horrible crettins. Missed her comment , yes i will contact both in a months time and see what they say. He was in good condition , big meaty thing but not being kept in the right conditions.

Ditto dog warden; that's what they're there for.

And if your neighbours make noise and/or cause a disturbance, contact the Noise Abatement Officer at your local council. At ours you can report on-line, and they'll then contact you in working hours to chat about the situation and work towards resolving it.

You shouldn't have to put up with this.

Eek! Don't do that, the neighbour might get the retribution you are afraid of :O How awful for you, thank god that nobody, horses or otherwise were hurt. I do feel sorry for the poor dog though.

Thank you, i knew you guys would have some great advice ! They are in Lala land over there, dont think any of them work so they don't mind parties till 3am on a Monday.... they can sleep all day

Ah yes didn't think of that :( Hmm tricky one, tricky one indeed, shall wait for the dust to settle and just make a complaint without giving my details :) I know could of been bad, i feel for the dog too, seemed like a sweet character that just needs a bit of training to help him :)

This is an example of why staffies get a bad name. It's not the dogs, it's the owners! They sound a truly obnoxious family!

Defo ! Dog was very obedient with me i was surprised, i showed him some compassion and he was fine, took him round to their and he was dragged round by his scruff before being hooked back up to his chain :( Grr horrible, horrible creatures not worthy of being humans.

Poor dog :(
Well done for keeping your cool...not sure I would have..!!! :o
So glad you and the horses are ok x

I kow :( It was difficult but me compared to 5 20 year olds wouldn't of gone down too well :o Neighbour when fixing the fence ex arm , boxing bloke said if she says anything t me again he will "beat him to a pulp" in front of his friends lol !!

Thank you everything is calm again this morning :) x

Please don't call the RSPCA unless in tandem with a Staffie friendly rescue. There are not many Stafford friendly RSPCA branches and they have a VERY high kill rate. I do know this as I do see behind the scenes with rescue.

No wonder the dog is howling. He will have virtually no protection from the elements and they are a breed that hates being away from people. Small surprise you got waggy tails when you collected him - you were probably the first person to be nice to him. Report to the dog warden but could you start to put feelers out to see if we could find a rescue to step in ..if you make it inconvenient for your neighbours then they might welcome the chance to dump him. Or maybe try to find a rescue who could work with the RSPCA? Do you have any idea of the age of this dog as well? I am not being naive about this as I see the major issues rescues face but I hate to think of this poor dog being so abused.

Hello, I know poor guy, he still had his dangly bits which probably doesn't help the situation either, I am not happy about phoning the RSPCA for our horses sake either so I was looking at trying local charities. He seemed very sweet and I did stupidly just go in and stroke him luckily he was people friendly and followed me back up when I asked him nicely but firmly to do so. I don't think they would get rid of him, they have children and I think it was their dog but the eldest son apparently owns him. The dog was I good body condition but clearly being tied up on a washing line all day isn't fair ! I don't have a clue how old he is, judging by his face ( as when they are old they grey out I think ?) he didn't have any grey round his eyes or muzzle so I would guess at under 7? No I completely understand it's not fair on him at all why get a pet and keep it like that
