I . AM . FURIOUS !!!!!

Whenever someone has spoken to me in a nasty way I always try and remember that to create such negativity takes a lot of effort and it never makes you feel good inside. Bullies like this woman, are very sad people.

Try not to dwell on this horrible event, this woman clearly has nothing better to do with her life. If you see her again (although I hope you don't), make a note of the number plate and give the police a call.

I'm glad you escaped uninjured OP :)
 
Did this honestly happen or is it another way of asking if you are too big for your pony which you do alot?!
 
Em123 - I haven't read OP's other posts and so I didn't realize that there were other 'am I too big' posts! OP, if this is the case, I will be disgusted as this would be a horrific subject to lie about - although would add up in the sense of you not wanting to go to the police. Hoping you're not lying, OP, you will lose a lot of trust between most of HHO!!

Agreed, OP, you now know that your weight is not an issue so perhaps focusing on getting your horse more confident on the road would be a good start :)

I really hope this is an honest post as rearing horses on roads are no fun!

OP, report it anyway, police need to know and there are ways that they can still locate the car. You should at least be able to tell them if it was a small car, people carrier, saloon, estate etc. Give them a chance, i have known someone get caught with far less details!

The driver needs to know how seriously hurt you could have been due to her actions.

My only other comment is that I don't believe a 13 year old, no matter how experienced, should be riding on public roads alone on any horse, let alone a green five year old, so I would strongly advise you take this a little more responsibly and on't hack out alone.

Sorry, it didn't come across nasty, I just thought I'd mention the OPs age before it got into a free for all as these posts can sometimes. But yes I agree if it's not true then a good imagination going on there :D

I would hate to think OP lied about this, as like other folk have said, rearing on the road is extremely dangerous and a 13 year old riding on a green 5 year old is beyond me to! :eek:
But saying that, we don't know the circumstances and i'm sure, if this is true, there was some reason to why she was out alone, on a 5 year old..

OP, Just a quick question, and I promise, i'm not having a go at all - do you have a body protector or high viz? And what would you have done if you'd have fallen or your horse had tanked off and left you on the floor?? Like I said, not having a go in the slightest, i'm just wondering why you didn't have any company? For safety more than your riding experience :)
 
I have just been to the police and gave in all i can remember they just wrote everything i said down and said they would get back to us as soon as they can
why would i lie ?? instead of just asking if i was to heavy which you guys have already told me i am not !!!
i ride on the road with a hi vis waist coat .
i have been advised on here to hack out my 5year old as much as possible to help him get over his shying and unfortunately road hacking is all i have got !!!
I have now got a stronger bit on order as i realise i am not able to stop him !!! i am a experienced 14year old (my birthday was last week !!!) and have back horses before ......i don't usually hack out alone but this was on a quiet road and my horse is usually fine with cars now it is just when they start to yell at us -

I was 12 when I was riding out alone on a five year old, who had onlt been backed for a matter of months. I see absolutely no issue in a 13 year old rising out alone, whether it's on a 5 year old or a 15 year old. It depends on experience, I wouldn't suggest a novice 50 year old should hack a 5 year old on their own imo
 
I used to hack out on roads as a 13 year old?! I used to hack out all over alone if no one was there to come with me, I'd been riding since I was 6 and always wore my hi viz so didn't really see an issue. Although my horse was 16 not 5.

OP I hope your horses isn't to traumatised from the ordeal and I'm glad to see you reported it.
