Ali usually comes in in the evening, especially in this sh*te weather! Arrived at the yard at about 4ish, go up to one of the fields to collect Ali, and the poor chap is standing under the shelter of the trees looking very miserable. Brought him in, and was a bit shocked to find that he was soaked to the skin, literally. Take off his rug, chuck it on one of the rug racks to dry off, Ali was there shivering a bit, felt very sorry for him. Put a fleece rug on him (I'm glad I got it off Ebay when I bought Ali, never thought I'd actually use it though tbh!), that helped warm him up and dry him off after about 45 minutes, he didn't look miserable either. When he was fully dry I rugged him up in a LW stable rug, I never actually thought I'd be using one in summer... As his turnout rug was only a lightweight, I thought perhaps it was only showerproof. Go to check his dripping wet rug, it said on the label it was waterproof, I wouldn't have been so angry if it had only said showerproof. I am not impressed at all, I got it washed about a month ago, check the old reciept and I had also got it reproofed. I am NOT one bit impressed. The rug is only about a year old (came with him though), and most of the rugs I own are by this brand, I have never had trouble with them before and I used to have no trouble recommending them to friends and many others. I don't expect my horse to come in soaked to the skin and miserable at all, ARGH! Rant over sorry, I am a very very angry Caroline though!
