Just a quick update I am now using a barefoot trimmer and oh my god what a difference! Takes nearly as long as shoeing, testing pressure points, check pulse in the legs, very little removed, result happy pony who is sound and hacking out on the road the next day, he is really impressed with the quality of his feet so all the patience and changing the things that matter i.e. diet, and slow but sure exercise has worked and I am delighted. Thanks all for the support, is there a badge for belonging to the barefoot Taliban!!

Good news!you had a ddft injury as well didn't you?mines doing really well too and is also still bare :)

Im in too! Early days, but how can you go back after learning the science behind the hoof! I had collateral ligament and the change in the hooves in 3 months is truly amazing. Thanks to a wonderful trimmer!

Cats out of the bag big time now, isn't it?

Can anyone explain to me why a friend of a friend is still being recommended to put her eight year old down if the latest, shod, treatment for collateral ligament damage does not work :(
