Sorry to depress you on a lovely Sunny Day but this is where I am at there are loads of Magpies near our Yard but I only ever seem to see one at a time :

August Horse diagnosed Suspensory Ligament Strain
Sep/Oct 2 months Box Rest
Oct Made redundant
Nov/Dec walk Horse In hand
Dec Start Ridden work in walk horse bolts when walking out then 1 week later decks me in arena
Jan Start trot work relieved to get some fizz out of his brain horse lame
Jan/Feb Start 4 weeks walk in hand to finish 12th Feb
10th Feb Horse shies violently at innocuous noise on yard just misses me loses hind legs and comes crashing to the ground

Meanwhile 84 year old father with knackered lungs has been put permanently on Oxygen at home being looked after by my Mum 86. Went home to visit them today and......
My Dad got a moody on in the week and lit up a cigar while he had his oxygen thingy up his nose (you right he shouldnt even have a Cigar in the house) and has burnt his mouth his nostrils and his hand.

My Mum fessed him up but I cant give him a talking to as she will get the fallout luckily he scared the living daylights out of himself!

We have magpies around our yard too. It is only an old wives tale though, you are going through a bad spell, nothing more. Hope things pick up soon.

I've heard so many anti bad-luck-with-one-magpie remedies, it'd take half an hour to do them all!!
