Was suppose to be loaning horse out and have everything sorted date for him to go and everything and then to day get text saying they don't want him and i am so angry as we turned others down and don't have numbers etc.
Anyway after this i am put off putting him on loan so now don't know whether to just sell him my problem is he has a sarcoid and has had them removed in the past which cost a lot of money. He is bombproof and this is the only blemish he has and he has the sweetest temperament. The only reason he is for sale is cause i now prefer cobs and have never got along with him but we paid £2500 for his as had just been professionally schooled so now my fear i have is that i will get peanuts back for him. What do you think?

Cookies if you got this far

Depends on loads of things that i know nothing about -extent of sarcoids, what type and where, what horse has done, potential, etc etc.

As long as you are honest when you sell you set your price and if no one is interested you reduce it. Most sarcoids wouldnt put me off buying a horse, if it was what i wanted in every other way. Every horse has something If you tell potental purchasers at least they know what they are letting themselves in for.

He is a 16hh TB gelding, the vet didin't tell me the type of his sarcoids just removed then the other were up on his inner thigh and the new one is on the inside of his hind leg. He has hunted in past but has only hacked recently, but he is really willing to do more and can pop a jump etc. But i have no idea how much to ask for him as people tell me he is only worth a little amount but i don't want to sell him as a project

the right person will come along. Clearly it just wasnt meant to be with this person.

If you sell him, you have no control whatsoever as to what happens to him in the future, if you loan him you can always take him back again.

This has happened twice now and every time its the whole disappointment everytime when it falls through when you have everything all packed and ready to go with him lol
Does anyone have any idea what he may be worth?

Well, they may know something i dont! Depending on where/what it is sarcoids dont necessarily affect the horse. If it was on the girth then yes, it may be unrideable, hence price should reflect this risk. Other than that its what someone is prepared to pay. Based on what you have said on here i think £800 is too low.

I will have him, my elderly TB has got a sarcoid, he has had ever since I first got him over 10 years ago, and it has never cause any problems.

Good luck, you will find the perfect home, ( with me:))
