. . . finally . . . after three years of horse ownership and daily mucking out, turnout, poo picking and generally trudging about in the muck . . . I have bought myself a pair of muckers . . . OMG what a revelation! I can keep my riding boot for, well, riding. My muckers are fur (faux) lined, have cushioned inner sole, hardy rubber outers/soles and lace up to keep my tootsies warm and snug. Along with my lovely neoprene fingerless gloves (which convert to mittens), they will keep me warm, dry, supported and snug . . . and they shouldn't rot from the constant exposure to wet, wee, mud, muck, etc.

I am honestly happier with these than I was when I bought a very expensive (and very beautiful) pair of Salvatore Ferragamo slingbacks . . .

. . . yes, I'm strange.
