I went out for a hack on Larry this morning. He is the 17hh livery that we have at the yard. His owner is away this weekend and offered him to me.
I went out with my OH on the cob x mare that he rides and the YO on Bondi (horse I'm on in siggy). The original plan was a quiet plod out, but the ground was good and so we had a little trot on the bridleway and then decided to have a canter.
And WOW!! This is horse is so big and clumsy to handle but to ride ,is just phenomenal. I havent cantered properly in about 2 years, aside from the canter August 2008 when I fell off and previous to that, it was about a year.
So I am just feeling so elated its unreal. I called his owner to let her know how we got on and she is ecstatic that she has "another rider" for him!! Will try to get some ics of him this weekend.
