CCJ has posted a video clip in Gallery of him at his third ever Hunter Trial, aged 14 he has done some dressage and showjumping before breaking his pelvis and not competing since. We had him checked over and he is perfectly ok, so last weekend at Stockland Lovell was his third competition. He takes some pushing as he is only just beginning to realise he can go faster than a collected canter (!)
I think the video clip is super, shows his true character and why his offspring are so good.
I think we may end up with too many horses to BE next season..We've got to have a go with him after this, as he does a super dressage, good showjumping (he's won £135 BSJA) and now he is starting to understand what to do over XC fences he must be in with a chance of some placings.. The nicest thing is he obviously adores competitions, and runs on the box.. Flynn the 13 year old chesnut did the same classes and although he didn't go clear, he jumped things like a massive corner and ditches etc, it should only take a couple more HT and he will start going clear too.
Lots of lovely pics on the photographers site, we will order a few then put them up on here.
Have a look at that clip and when you watch, remember this horse is on it's third ever HT... what a good boy!
