I am sorry, posters.

I like long posts if I am bored & the subject interests me, it gives me something to do :)

If it doesnt interest me/ I have other stuff to do, I dont read it!

If you don't like long posts- don't read them! Goodness me. I embrace a long post!!
I'm sure people won't be crying themselves to sleep at night because you find their posts too long OP....

Really surprised by the reactions to my statement, is there really no one that feels the same. Often i will click on to a thread because it looks interesting only to find reams of waffle. So, yes i choose not to read it and look for something else that gets to the point.

I think OP is talking about your posts Pogface, I often find them far too long and boring. You need a rethink.

;)

erm......why not just click on a thread with pictures then  Easy to spot from the title - it says "PICTURES" at the beginning of it. Sheeeesh.

Yes sometimes I start reading stuff and realise I don't care enough to keep reading it. I wouldnt start a thread telling people how I'd like them to write their threads though, if I've got a problem with someone's writing style, it's my problem not their's. :D

The only time a long post annoys me is if the OP hasn't used paragraphs, it makes it more difficult to read. Skim and scan Op, skim and scan.

You are a cruncher rather than a melter...aren't you?:D

I struggle to read big blocks of text...so I usually skip long OPs too :p

This.

I don't like long posts that have no punctuation, and I don't like threads that don't say what they're about in the title, a bit like this one! I just wander away from them...

Not sure whether its the bottle of wine I drank that is making me chuckle or the absurd thread? :D Oops this is too long...sorry

Oh sorry...by apologising I have made it longer.

OP- this genuinely made me chuckle..thank you! oh ...sorry ... I mean ta! (much shorter phew!)

You two smell of poop :mad:

I actually like reading long posts sometimes, you may need a lot of information to fully assess the situation. For instance I'm currently sat on the sofa with my legs straight in front of me so my cat can sit comfortably on my knee, whether I am comfortable or not. My cat is black, her sister who is white is sitting precariously on the edge of the back of the other sofa and may fall off soon. My laptop is made by Samsung, and incidentally I really hope I win the lottery soon so I can get the new Samsung S3 phone. Do you have a phone OP? All of this information might be vital to the post in some way. It might not but how are you to know if you don't read the long posts, just because they contain a lot of information doesn't mean it's irrelevant or that the issue is any less important than those in shorter posts. I think if you have a problem with longer posts then perhaps you should stick to other forums since horses are complicated creatures and often require long posts about themselves. SO really your issue should be with horses, not the posters on the forum and then if you don't like horses, you probably shouldn't be here. Also, at the end of long posts, if you bothered to read them, sometimes we get cookies/cakes/other nice things and that makes them perfectly worthwhile. Often I take the cake and run without replying, does that make me a bad person?
