I may not agree with it, but since certain members of the community get away with it time and time again by moving onto and tarmacing land over a weekend and making and eyesore why shouldn't mr and mrs normal do it!!
What an extreme to go to though pretending it was a barn...lol

Wasn't there a programme on in the last year or so about something similar? A couple had built a house inside a straw stack or something - I remember one side of the house was styled like an old style country/farm house and the other side was a castle!

After the requisite amount of time had passed they removed the straw stack but I think they had to take it down as the dwelling has to be visible - don't quote me on that, my memory's not great!
