Hello there, I haven't been over this side since I bred my filly 8 years ago, crazy.

Anywho, I haven't owned a horse in 6 years now. Always admired traditional cobs, so, meet Nova:

She is to make about 15.1 or 2. Sire is grey so could be blue and white. I was lucky to meet her sire, dam and some siblings. Just fell in love with them all and then when I saw her in the field I just knew. Looking to show her as a yearling all going well.

Any other 2022 cob foals out there?

If her sire was grey and she inherited the grey gene she will be all white not blue and white. If you have newborn photos you can usually make a reasonably good assumption about what colour she will be :)

My last filly was heterozygous for grey, as a 2 year old she was still very dark grey with her white markings.

Thanks everyone, I'm chuffed. Hard to reel in the foal spam ?

They rate they go white can vary, but the one thing that is a given, if they have the grey gene they will end u white

Yep - it's inevitable! Although I do love them - I think a blue and white coloured won at HOYS recently. Just more cleaning involved! I think she's homozygous for tobiano too because she has ink spots. She was born a kind of mousey black and white. But there's much darker black coming through I think.

Lovely foal :) shes going to be piebald though, i can't see her blueing up. Has she got a name or do you get to name her?

Having seen the pics I think shes going to stay black as well, and looking at the ear fluff shes probably ND1 as well

Yep, the stud give her "Shannon Valley" and I picked "Shannon Valley Supernova" just Nova for short. I always go with sky/planet/stars type of theme. For the whole other two horses I have ever owned ?
