Dave doesn't really wear rugs & the ones he has we've inherited, but after a few recent occasions of having to bring him in 2 hours before a lesson to dry off, I have crumbled & bought him a rain sheet.

It's a Shires Tempest from Saddlery Online. I also would love a drying rug!

Blue doesn't normally roll a great deal. Ten seconds after turning her out in her lovely new turquoise check rug, she found the biggest mud patch in her field and had a party!

My old boy hated rugs. Meant he was prevented from looking like a hippo. He'd actually scrape it along the gate or fence in an effort to destroy it. I was lucky if they lasted a season. He used to take great pleasure in rolling when he knew I was fetching the headcollar to get him in. The delight on his face was evident!

All mine have rainsheets- we would literally never be able to ride otherwise. Underneath them is enough to clean! Also like Shires - don’t rub and do the job!
