I can finally introduce him!!

Fantastic news - how lucky are you both to have found each other!

What a handsome boy, very striking!

I have to update you all as I’m just so obsessed with this little boy.

He was clipped on Saturday and I have never known a horse, let alone a young horse, as well-behaved as him. He just stood there and only raised a leg when she clipped around his manhood. He was falling asleep during some parts of it! I think it just goes to show how chilled out his personality is.

We had our first official lesson last night - my trainer came with me for my second viewing but obviously that was more about assessing the suitability. We worked on very basic, baby things like transitions and getting the trot more forward so he’s stepping through better as he does like to trundle along quite lazily in trot (which I let him do - my mistake!). By the end, our trot was so forward and free, and he was really using himself properly. His attitude is just incredible and if that’s what one lesson can do, I can’t even imagine what he will be like in a year’s time, let alone 5!

Oh yeah it massively needs sorting. I’ve been told to stay away from it as I have previous of not doing a great job with manes 😂

Not stood the best in the after and the photos are a bit oversaturated but he is so much smarter. I need to get that mane sorted though.
