I can rely on AAD for an honest opinion - are greyhound owners.....

I have just been accused of sounding posh on the phone by another HHOer and I am gobsmacked

She said she expected me to sound rougher

Must be something about owning greyhounds which gives one that touch of class

Although I must admit I always assume Greyhound owners to be slightly kooky, with a min of 2/3 dogs, numerous coats per dog, far too many hound collars in varying degrees of ornateness (is that even a word) in a house that is totally geared towards dogs.

Hair is often curly and different colours and they wear purple.

I must have had a strange experience early on in life to form this image.

You see all the people I know with greyhounds have moustaches, white socks with black shoes, wear 20-year-old sports jackets, spend most of their time in the local Ladbrokes, dogs are either called Bess or Spot (when they die, they will be replaced by another Bess and another Spot) who live out in the shed and get walked at 5am every morning and live on bread soaked in milk and cornflakes before getting a razz round the stadium after aforementioned Lidl bag twice a week

My parents are were very northern (think broad Yorkshire) but have become southernised

I have just thought of an AAD meet up but I think logistically it would be too far for everyone to travel

but it would be fab to meet everyone and their dogs for real

Hanandhen and Henmeister will both be quite short and compact with wild flyaway hair and a rather manic expression on their faces as they race around from place to place not quite knowing what they are looking for but its fun isnt it.....

Hey nowt wrong with my 9 year old's voice

She is very girly sounding though, almost penelope pitstop like

she aint skint either.....I bet she is minted and related to Lord fullford....I cannot use his middle name or I will get banned no doubt

but im sure u get my drift.

She also swears like a trooper, unlike myself who keep the convo clean
