I can't believe he has gone

OMG - I didnt realise that your Hillock was Lucinda's Hillock! I knew him well from when he was with her (she was a good friend, neighbour and mentor to Beth) - its good to see he brought you as much joy as he bought her. Lucinda was a very special person who thought the world of Hillock, I am glad he too had the same special place in your heart as he did with her.
My thoughts go out to you both with your loss, I just would like to think that He and Lucinda are happily reunited doing dressage in the skies as we speak - what a birthday for her - it will be so good to imagine her laughing again!
Lots of hugs to you both.

I am in tears after reading the above, I am soooo sorry and I know it is really hard. When I think of my boy who was pts after a leg injury, i just think of him up there looking down on me, he was also grey and I am sure he is very happy never to have a bath in the cold again. lots of hugs xxxxxxx

So sad, what a nicely written post, you obviously loved him very much

What an absolutely stunning chap he was - noble and brave.

Thoughts go out to you and Mark - so devastating

It's impossible to begin with to think of life without them but over time you remember only good times and it does get easier - you never ever forget but you can move on *big hugs*

Wow what a stunning horse and what a lovely life you gave him. My thoughts are with you both at this very sad time.

That is so sad - I'm crying!

A previous beloved mare also broke her pastern. She went through an op but 18months later the prognosis was poor and I had her PTS. In hindsight wish I had done so straight away.

Big Hugs to both you and your hubbie xxxxxxxxxx

He sounds an absolute star! I've got a tear in my eye reading your loving and moving post about the amazing Hillock. So sorry to hear of your loss
