Just found out from French eventing website: A girl, Maia died on the XC in Moulins today... No details on how it happened, everyone in the French eventing community is in shock. Just too many...
My heart goes out to Maia's family and friends.

What I know is that Maia was eventing up to**level but was riding a NOV/INT today. We'll probably hear more about the exact circumstances but there is much to bet that it was a rotational fall.
We heard about it at the same time everyone was also following Burghley and delighted at Rodolphe's good performance there and relieved -as we tend to feel now- when such a big international comp ends without any major accidents...

Oh no - that is terrible. You just can't believe the amount of terrible falls that have occured recently.
