I can't believe its been 2 years !

I can't quite believe its been 2 years since I first saw Sol

Who'd have thought two years ago I'd be here with a horse that is pretty useless to most people but absolutely perfect for me

..

As most of you know the last 3/4 months has been the pretty turbulent for me and the mare (and everyone I have subjected to the tears , the long conversations and the heartache)

Suddenly everything has clicked into place .. my mindset has completely changed with her , there are no longer 'what if's' about her and I (we'd have made rubbish eventers anyway!) now its just enjoying what we can do

So yes .. its two years to the day I bought ' the most unsuitable horse I can think of' and I now don't regret a second. She's had more problems than the ten other horse I have had but she's the one that's been here the longest.

So yes .. two years gone ... lets hope the next two are slightly less worrying

I think I will do a picture post when I've sorted all my pictures out from the last two years ... but for now here is a comparison..

Great post HOWEVER i might just have found who i have to blame for saying the other day that i wanted ORANGE xc stuff! Now my horsie is dark bay so might look quite good BUT i also ride my friends chestnut welsh sec D

Nooooo orange is the way to go !! I have an obsession with orange

Orange looks fine on oranges (trust me Sol wears enough of it !)

We could start a clique of 'Not being used for what they were bought for' people.

Merlin was bought for riding club level eventing, sj etc and because of his arthitis we do none of it.

But we do hack for miles..... which is by far and away what I prefer to do now anyway....

And guess what....... I realised today that I bought him five years ago tomorrow. Bought on wedding anniversary, which I forgot about till my good old mum gave me a card today

Havent yet let the beans spill to OH about it.... so will wait for a no card event in the morning

She was completely untouched when we bought her so it hasn't been too hard to make her a little bit better
