God, I'm such a terrible person.
I brought Oshk in from the field earlier in the pouring rain, I was going to ride him for the 2nd time today but it was such rubbish weather I just chucked him on the walker whilst I mucked out.
I mucked out, did his feeds, sorted everything and went back to college to supper.
Stood waiting for supper, I was wondering whether I had taken his feed bucket out of his stable as I couldn't remember him eating it, or me taking it out, when it dawned on me...
my horse was still on the bloody horse walker!!!!!!!!
Oh I'm such a terrible person, i flew back up to the yard to get him off and tuck him up in bed, Law couldn't stop laughing at me, but I felt such a terrible, terrible person.
He is tucking into his tea now and drying off- must have had a fair workout!

Friend on my yard left a pony all night a few years back...now thats terrible!! YO always checks before locking up now, for some reason!!

Oh god, that must have been horrible, I doubt I will make the mistake again.
He let of a big winny when he saw me, I felt so mean!

PMSL! Oh well, wouldn't of done him any harm.
My boss told me about a livery she used to have. This livery put her horse on the walker in the evening and forgot about it. When she came in in the morning my boss told her it wasn't on to put the horse on the walker and then go home, when it suddenly dawned on the livery that she had forgot to take the horse off the night before. The poor horse had a massive pee, a long drink and went to bed but there was no damage done. The horse was too polite to stop the walker so walked all night. I can't remember how far they calculated the horse walked but it was a long way.

A few years ago, I put my old boy in the field shelter to eat his tea and put the slip rail across so he could have some peace as he was fairly old by then and the others picked on him as he was slower than them eating. I then went to fill the water trough - had to fill it with a hose as the automatic filler was broken, and went home at about 7pm. I woke up at 3 in the morning realising he was still locked in and had to go back in my pyjamas to let him out. I was so worried about him as he was old and I was concerned about him being dehydrated so I took him straight to the trough but he wouldn't drink - was more interested in the grass! Felt terrible about it for days but he was fine.

OMG - I almost choked on my apple that I'm eating, I'm laughing soooo much - that is brilliant. Poor horse!!!!
